Maybe they think it’s virtuous to not be part of “cancel culture” or some bullshit? Like, if they’ve been blocked in the past they somehow think they’re better than others for not doing so themselves?
Some people can be very block-happy at the first hint of possible red flags, I suppose, so that’s all I can think of as to why one might brag.
