honestly though a lot of beings here really do lack education on informed consent, and i’m talking about the adults too. someone being here is not consent, having to persuade someone is not consent, someone hornyposting is not consent. there need to be clear communication, if you’re confused on what someone is alright with ask, don’t just do.
moreover, this terrible “tolerate everyone and everything” mindset is really killing us. it is time to differentiate between harmful and not harmful acts, and stop supporting beings who keep doing harmful things (INCLUDING YOUR FRIENDS!!!). even i find myself throwing away my ethics here because taking issue with anything seems to make you the problem and gets you isolated by everyone else. all we are doing is sacrificing the beings doing nothing wrong and are positively contributing to the community for the beings who cause problems and add to the negativity.
