Made me laugh quite a lot but it was all in the performances and the absurdity of the subject matter. It also managed to hit emotional notes infrequently but quite well. It's true that it's not Tropic Thunder - it would need double the density and depth but it was a fun diversion and notably has no competition except from the past.
