the thing I dislike the most about monero is lack of an equivalent of SPV. I remember when I first tried bitcoin-qt and I had to scan the blockchain every time I opened my wallet. my computer had to look through all of the transactions that everyone else did since the last time I opened my wallet before learning my new balance. that was really dumb. with monero, I still have to do that. everything else that I dislike about monero is also applicable to bitcoin.
