Lmao wow that’s pretty delusional. In the US (and many other large countries) a substantial percentage of people need vehicles to get around rural areas. Most people don’t live in cities and public transportation is completely inadequate even in advanced stages.
Vehicles are a tool of empowerment and independence. They afford freedom and mobility cheaply and reliably for millions. There is absolutely no way I could do the work I do without ICE vehicles. I move materials and tools around freely and build homes in rural areas - public transportation will never be able to solve the problems I face period.
Living in cities is not an option for me. Can’t stand the type of people who congregate in cities, the pollution and squalor that accumulates in cities, the inflated cost of living, urban heating effects and the lack of access to natural landscapes. Rural folk need diesel trucks and we use them to do all the work to keep city people alive. EVs are woefully inadequate where diesel shines. You sound like a delusional commie with your “everyone should live in cities and use public’s transportation” sentiment. Reductive, delusional and insane.
Just bc some people die driving(mostly drunk driving btw) has absolutely no bearing on private motor transportation’s efficacy and ICE tech being superior to EV tech. Especially in work vehicles.
