I honestly don't think crypto has anything to do with this. He wasn't pro-crypto in 2016 and they already stopped short of an assassination attempt (there was one, but it didn't look they had a direct hand in it, unlike this last one).

The problem with Trump is not that he is a "pro-freedom maverick" of sorts. He is simply an partial outsider. He is enough of an insider that he had money and connections plenty to manage to coopt the GOP and liquidate the neocon rats in it (for now). But he is not the type of insider they can simply allow to freely roam the halls of power.

His first term was very ineffective in "draining the swamp". I get it -- insurmountable inside resistance and he didn't know the buttons and levers. Now he does, a lot better, and so does his team. So the danger he represents is exponentially larger -- he may now know exactly what drawers to open, and there's way too much information that isn't meant for his eyes...

Enough to merit an assassination.

So, while as an anarchist-leaning libertarian, in an ideal world I would never support him on his own merits as a politician, I do agree that in this imperfect world, as a potential agent of change or, at the very least, as a thorn on the side of the actual status quo, of course he has my moral support and I think his victory in the elections is the best option among all the scenarios with a probability of happening.

That is, a Biden/Democrat presidency, which is a presidency of the Uniparty of war and terror, regardless of the candidate; a Republican presidency with a neocon candidate, that is, again the Uniparty of war and terror; or Trump with its potential for chaos and, maybe, change.
