We enjoyed a nice little century or so of finding genocide wrong in principle.
With global environmental collapse, "supply chain issues" that will eventually be recognized as widespread shortages, and the oncoming wave after wave of refugees, global cultural norms are going to have lots of reasons to accept genocide as normal.
