Coming from a long line of Shanty Irish who believed the doctor is called with the priest as last resort we had whisky the old Aunties called poteen all our lives.. on Q-tips for sore teething gums and for colds a hot drink of 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar 2 tablespoons honey & shot of whiskey w near boiling water added for tea like hot cider.. my own kiddies only got half shot of whiskey in their blend w thought that all cold meds in Boomer era had alcohol.. it does help with sleep which is Natures best healer!! :~)
