It is not so remarkable, I think, that the last surviving polio victim to spend their life in an iron lung did not live long enough to see the servants of a dangerously ignorant demagogue trying to ban the polio vaccine that might have saved him.
What’s remarkable is that he would have seen that, if he’d lived just another nine months.
