I am not a FOSS maniac, and I totally get the business model, the defensive posture that Vivaldi has had to take here, and don't doubt their intentions. But man it gives me the blues. Just from a privacy and security perspective, we're being asked to trust the binaries in a way we never would from large companies or from almost anyone. Like can I get a free harmonica with install? We've lost.
