If I were in the position of power in a Nation the first thing I would do is invest and build a fleet of thorium nuclear reactors and place them in places not developed and then I would be cities around them using DC electric current. I would them build a world class business selling the radionuclides to countries who use centralized medicial ideas in oncology to build a billion dollar revenue stream. With other parts of the money I would build incandescent bulb factories to power my cities and sell them to the rest of the public online.
The next step is I would embrace Ultrafast light technologies to neutralize the small amount of remaining waste. I would build the worlds best industry to use ultraintense laser pulses generated by the technique of chirped pulse amplification (CPA) to limit radiation risk via transmutation. This is a new industry and it likely will be worth trillions in a Bitcoin dominated world that will develop after November 5, 2024.
