I must confess that I really like hope and change, but I choose not to believe that everything's gonna be magically alright because of divine providence and without an enormous amount of effort on a daily basis.

Optimism is to wake up every day and notice that something has to be improved, and do everything to get it changed.

Platitudes and hopey feelings don't change shit.
