Rewatching 13th Warrior, and genuinely it's a sleeper hit. It may have flopped at the box office BADLY, but that's for a want of quality. Far from it. The story is tight, pacing is good, the music is amazing, and everyone plays their part perfectly.
Apparently there were a lot of cuts and reshoots, some music got cut, scenes changed entirely, and that's a shame because I'd have loved to have seen the original vision for it.
But as it stands, it's a damn good movie and I recommend it.
