Worth noting for my fellow Sensory Weirdness folks, I picked up a (somewhat expensive) pair of over-the-ear headphones called Skullcandy Crushers - they have this thing called Sensory Bass.
Sensory Bass is one of the coolest ways I've experienced music in a while. It is overwhelming and awesome with the right tunes.
