My favorite method of UTXO consolidation is through muun wallet. Send your lightning zaps and small onchain balances to the same wallet. It amalgamates your onchain and lightning balances as if they were one without any need for conversion. You can then send out a single onchain transaction to cold storage.
Side note: The only thing I'd avoid with muun is sending out lightning transactions as it still incurs onchain fees. (Receiving lightning is normal) But that doesnt matter, it's not part of this workflow.
PSA: Consolidate your UTXOs when fees are low.
