We actually bought a plug-in hybrid and it's been interesting learning how to use it (by far the newest car I've ever owned). It's really perfect for our driving situation, and it seems to be doing ok with cold temps - worked fine at -30C this morning. However, both of us have to commute in different directions at least a couple days a week, so we need 2 cars (huge downside of rural living - no public transit options at ALL).",
