Dinner for us this evening will be a stew made with a pork sirloin roast. I plan to cube, season and sear the meat before lunch, get it in the pot with mirepoix, and start simmering the stock (from a carton, likely), while I take my post-lunch nap. After the nap, taters, carrots, some maters, and possibly some sweet potatoes will go in and then it simmers until it’s time to eat.
