They even had stadium seating and cup holders. The other church I tried, I think it was new Lutheran, was more like a two hour long Bible study.
At least I then took my friends to my Latin Mass. Turns out within a few months they were baptizing their four kids and putting them all in choir at the noon mass.
They found that relationship with the living Church and God that you mention
