They're the same. For a big portion of Church history the bishops came from monks, not pastors, and they behaved the exact same way.
The only good monks are warrior monks. Men who proved their worth and accepted a life of service as yet another level of self mastery. Monks who joined bc they were scared of the world (most of them) are a time bomb.
