It’s all relative, isn’t it? The things I find myself complaining about now might seem trivial—or even ridiculous—to someone who’s lived through real conflict or hardship. I fully recognize that, and I don’t take for granted how fortunate I am to live in peace.
But that’s the thing about peace—it creates space to focus on things that might seem small in comparison. It’s not that those complaints are unimportant; it’s that they reflect a reality where survival isn’t the primary concern, and for that, I’m grateful. I can’t imagine the weight of living through the kind of adversity some have endured, and I wouldn’t wish that reality on anyone.
Peace, to me, is a gift because it allows us to focus on building and living fully, rather than just surviving. If anything, my smaller struggles remind me of how lucky I am to live without the kind of challenges that reshape entire lives. And that’s a privilege I deeply respect.
