Thanks for posting this Terri. Her last point seems to wrap it up nicely. The authors of the 14th must have always assumed Congress would ultimately make the determination because nothing else made any sense. You can’t be ruled ineligible to hold office, if no one elected you to hold that office. And I suppose that’s why all nine justices agreed on the main ballot question.
