My cousin turned me onto books on eBay. I was stunned. At “Acceptable,” Extraordinary Delusions was the lowest condition of the 5 I bought (the others were all either “Good” or “Very Good”) and it’s much better than I expected. It’s well-read, but still fine. Plus, there’s a special joy in reading a nicely-used book - thinking about its history, the softness of the paper, the little imperfections and charming wear.
I’ll post about it once I crack it open. It may be a minute though because I’m currently working my way through the goliath that is Wind and Truth.
And I’ll look into Bernays. I’ve read Cialdini’s stuff on the psychology of influence, but it’s more modern and geared towards sales and marketing.
