This is sadly standard across most nations on how they cover people who come from the non-dominant group and not just misogyny. No?
It would be refreshing to read the following examples though:
a bio of George W. Bush in every article citing him as "a former drunk, addict, and a loser rich son whose President father ensured he would get elected to the high political offices of his country."
(or)
a bio of Cameron saying, "a wealthy and snobbish Etonian who formerly had to do certain things with a pig to ensure that he became worthy of joining the Tory leadership"
and so on...
