I'll be in Strasbourg on November 7 to do a panel on political cartoons at the World Forum for Democracy. The panel is organized by Cartooning for Peace and focuses on the question how we can use cartoons to fight populism and protect democracy.

I'll be joined by Turkish cartoonist Zehra Ömeroğlu (currently facing trial in Turkey for one of her cartoons), Italian cartoonist npub13eflpsjalj5kdm7jdfmrvjf7wfnmhx983yj29t605t9g6rqkwwgscq5c9l (npub13ef…5c9l) and humor expert Alberto Godioli (Associate Professor at the University Groningen).
