I was a youth worker because I was once a lost youth.

I was an advocate for parents because my own parents lost their way.

I did grassroots and macro level activism because the system repeatedly failed the people I supported and my own family.

I am a mental health counselor because of my own lived experience with darkness and witnessing these experiences in others.
