There are many ways to get to a goal, but this doesn't mean that all the ways are equally useful. You have to nail something down, a sane person would use hammer, other maybe a rock and other hit it with their head. Many will fail using the head, and even those who succeed would end injured and probably bleeding. Then someone makes of these injuries a virtue. And by mere pursue of virtue other will try it too. They'd convince everyone that it's a part of doing it. They'd even persecute others who are using other methods.
I'm talking about spirituality btw lol
