stand by me :flag: :flag: :flag: :flag: :flag: (nprofile…csx6) my parents were divorced and lived across the country from each other, and had a mutual burden-offloading scheme where I'd live with one parent for a long time and then move to live with the other parent.
So on the one hand, I got very accustomed to separation. Separation means going to the airport and getting on a plane and looking out the window and walking out of the airport. Maybe the pilot (in better days) will invite me up front and give me some wings to wear. Maybe airport staff will babysit me in a back room while I play around. I'd be unaccompanied while flying and other fliers were generally very nice about that.
On the other hand, I got very accustomed to separation. Still separated to this day.
