I always want to laugh when people say that America “kicked God out of school.” What kind of omnipotent, transcendent Being can be removed by the stroke of a human pen from any place in that Being’s own creation?
Does your god obey humans? Honor human court decisions? Why do you worship such a fragile, easily intimidated deity?
People who believe in a less childish and literal-minded version of God have a much more cohesive theology.
