The interesting part of having blogs or other systems federate natively probably isn’t being a bad substitute for RSS.
But rather, to intertwingle comments/Mastodon replies, likes, boosts, and so on.
And to make it that much easier to have great content on the Fediverse. As open standards we CAN build a really big diverse network.
WordPressDotCom enabling a “Login with Fediverse” would be another strong piece I’d like to see.
