It’s the second last day of the year, and I am struggling to find optimism, but it is so hard. I don’t want to sound elitist but the average person in the West is so bloody ignorant, incurious, and easily manipulated. The right can play them like a violin. I feel painful lessons are inevitable at this point, but I don’t know if even real life suffering can break through the sturdy wall of dumb. The right will rob them blind, and convince them it’s the fault of a beggar on the street.
