Lower speed limits save lives, we know that as fact. Faughnan opposed lower speed limits when he was with the AA, and is still opposing them.

We currently have the ridiculous situation that if he are caught speeding while using a mobile phone you can only get penalty points for one of the offences. Faughnan doesn't see the merit in changing that.

We know that heavier cars cause more deaths. Faughnan doesn't mention that. Nor does he mention the lax sentencing for road traffic offences.
