While there may seem to be honor in dignity and grace, we have culturally lost the ability to be vicious and angry when necessary. The idea that even when you disagree with political policy that will negatively impact you and your community for the foreseeable future, you should still be calm and kind is such bullshit.
Consent is not “the majority said it’s okay,” it’s *you* say it’s okay. When the government imposes restrictions on the way we can exist, we have the human right to oppose it.
