Then they have a misunderstanding of bitcoin, and will benefit from being in an environment where it’s just normal to use it and ask questions if they want, and it sense mixed signals when people who DO understand it pretend there’s some kind of problem with it. You can use nostr without bitcoin but you can’t use all of nostr without it. Eventually an exchange of money is needed for certain interactions online. Is there a money better suited for this task than bitcoin? It minimizes trust in 3rd parties, does not require permission, does not require identification of the individuals involved in the transaction, and can be sent instantly from anywhere in the world to anywhere else in the world. If you know this, and I believe of course that you fully understand this, then pretending people aren’t better off with it than without it is not helping anyone progress forward.
