For the last talk of this session we got Remo Burn on a radius valley between migrated steam worlds and evaporated rocky cores.

From a formation point of view, migration leads to water worlds as they grow outside of the water ice line before migrating in. Using population synthesis models they tried to reproduce this radius valley, but that didn‘t work.

So they had to go back to the drawing board and study the phases of water.
