Get used to fragmentation (of social networks, of global trade), there's no trend currently for integration happening. Mastodon folks will stay on Mastodon. Same with Bluesky, same with Xwitter, same with Meta. China-Russia relations strengthening versus China with the western world (and especially Russia with the western world).
The world of 2018 (pre Covid, pre War, pre inflation, pre Elon Xwitter) is gone and it may take decades to go back there, if at all.
