Maybe, but I tend to start seeing drops when I attend an event.
And it isn't that the last mile is radio, but that the line is also better protected, usually on larger utility easements, and deeper.
We did recently have a blackout in Missouri with a couple of providers. It appears a major line was cut during highway construction work. Both my home Internet and cell service were down. They used the same fiber backbone.
