#Google is replacing search results with itself. #Twitter / #X is losing users and changing its yser base. #Meta and #Threads is saying “no” to news. News organizations still have a need for organic discovery by readers. Expanding reach to federated networks that support them will be important, even if the audience size isn’t as big as it once was. For those who follow news, this is arguably a reasonable to choose #Mastodon over Threads.
