It's true that there are many antichrists, but there is also _the_ antichrist as well, called the son of perdition (who we, I guess nicknamed "the AntiChrist" when we should be calling him the son of perdition) - but that doesn't mean the doctrine itself of a man who is worshipped by the whole world and has a beast system is false.

are you sure you read 2 Thessalonians 2:3 where it's specific about "a man" (singular) being revealed, being "the son" (singular) of perdition?

It's like saying "The Rapture" is a false doctrine just because it's a name someone made up to reference the event where the saved believers meet with Jesus in the clouds, being saved from the wrath of the beast. Like we call the event of "caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord." the rapture but that doesn't mean "The rapture" is a false doctrine man
