Han Kuo-yu (韓國瑜) of the KMT was elected as the speaker of Taiwan's 11th Legislature. The vote went along party lines with the TPP's caucus abstaining from the second round of voting after their candidate Huang Shan-shan (黃珊珊) was eliminated.
