One thing which was quite interesting to realize was, that in Germany we always laughed at the us voting system, sometimes for good reasons, sometimes for terrible ones.
In Germany the vote is secret and it's even forbidden to e.g. take a photo of your ballot or show to anybody how you voted.
In the US, that's not the case, you can even fix your ballot in most places even after election day!
