There have been a few users who setup 5-10 VPS nodes interested in earning a larger amount. They did get 5x-10x of the share, but still not enough to "make money".
The concept was always to run a raspberryPi in your basement to support podcasts (and help with distribution).
I recently discovered P4V has gone away, but still lives on IPFS due to listener support. The media and RSS are still available here.
