The local #UrbanPlates #restaurant is being a #chickenshit by placing this banner at the bottom of their website. Instead of raising their prices by 3% to maintain their profit margins, they are throwing the workers under the bus for this price increase by complaining about their wages and benefits.
The last time Alice’s Restaurant did this, there was such a backlash from customers that they were forced to remove their sign and increase their menu prices, AS THEY SHOULD.
Business owners are responsible for figuring out their cost structure. Blaming your own workers to maintain margins is despicable.
I am writing to their corporate center about this, and I will not buy food from them until they get rid of this abusive message.
