In the reign of Emperor Decius, Romulus and Silvanus, along with other Christians, were brought before the governor. They confessed their faith in Christ, and the governor, enraged, ordered them to be tortured. They were scourged, and then their bodies were lacerated with iron hooks. The pain was excruciating, yet they remained steadfast in their faith, praising God. Finally, they were beheaded for their devotion to Christ. Holy Martyrs Romul and Silvan, pray to God for us!
