People can be killed for loving the wrong person because of politics imposing, from the societal to the personal. Humans have historically used sexuality because it is a way to control them, but this does not make private and personal sexuality a public matter, it just means that it has, on many occasions, been absued in this way.

I don't place limits on what sexuality can be between two private individuals. To have a relation that is unbalanced in terms of power is abhorrent to some and arousing to others. I don't judge either of these views and think that human sexuality can thrive on a spectrum across this, without it ever becoming abhorrent or undesirable, so long as it is underpinned by consent.

(I just had a bit of cheese and cucumber on toast, so have pulled myself together, at least a little!)
