3 May 1880 | A Polish Jewish woman, Bluma Sternberg, was born in Chrzanów. She lived in the town of Oświęcim (that Germans turned into Auschwitz).

In June 1943 she was deported to Auschwitz from the ghetto in Będzin. She was murdered in a gas chamber.
