Agree with this framing. I just want people to understand the trust assumptions (most won’t care but nonetheless important). I see a good number of folks who appear to be newer to Bitcoin who do not seem to understand the trade-offs, and I rarely see ecash proponents acknowledge them (obviously this is what tends to happen for just about any topic in human existence 😁).
By having a more open convo earlier on about trade-offs we avoid setting an overly high expectation that could get violated later. Lightning itself I think to some degree experienced this.
