There’s such an obsession with range with EVs. Guys saying “I won’t get an EV until it has a 500 mile range” like dude when was the last time you had to drive 500 miles through the desert?
Anyway as you said, for the amount of material they could also make 3 batteries with a 400km range- and make lighter vehicles that are less likely to kill pedestrians- but that doesn’t grab headlines.
