Without consideration of the transition, which I agree is not trivial, nor clear, I am of the position that;
1. The State is Evil, based on violence and coercion, and attracts the very bad people that we both know exist. It can not exist.
2. Without indoctrination of the State, it is absurd to think that people agree that someone has special powers and allowed to force their will on others.
3. People are good at collaboration and come to agreements, and will work it out.
