Yea it's intended to be difficult and unforgiving. And there are some hard games I love (Hotline Miami I/II, Katana Zero) and some I like like (Stellar Blade, Lithium City), but Cuphead was needlessly difficult and annoying in the way I could never get past the skill barrier.
