yeah, that's the question, maybe it is always changing maybe it is something that was never born, never dies and never changing. ever present, endless i amness.
we can believe different things but we are still in the same boat of teachings, doctrines and books. it is very different when you know who you truly are, our language might not be even fit to describe it. the dao that can be spoken is not the eternal dao)))
people paint chakras different ways and i was genuinely curious to see that. experience them on my own. i did practice tantric exercises to activate chakras, focus on the mantras, colours and feelings. it's true that you can feel them, but for me somehow i need the visual representation to be 100% sure they are "real"
the place i did it was solitary and silent. the food was given to me through a special kind of a closet/box in the wall. some other places i've read are doing group retreats, in some other places you can take music instruments, yoni stones, or whatever will float your boat.
for a silent retreat i highly recommend vipassana meditation. 10 days pretty much in complete silence, free of cost and around the world. i did it three times and keep recommending to friends non-stop
